Rules and Regulations

Participants and Eligibility:

  • All participants must be registered and have a signed waiver on file at the start of the tournament.
  • Each angler must comply with the State, Local, and Federal fishing and boating regulations for the St. Louis River.
  • Each participant must pay the $35.00 registration fee by June 16th, 2011
  • After June 16th, all entry fees will be $40.00
  • All participants must display their tournament button at all times during the tournament.

Safety and Sportsmanship:

Entrants must conduct themselves in a true sportsman like manner. Courtesy, safety and ethics of the best behavior are the norm not the exception. Remember that you represent not only yourselves but all tournament anglers and the sport of fishing. Rude or insulting behavior will not be tolerated

Fish and Fishing:

  • This is a walleye tournament. Only those walleye caught on hook and line in a conventional sporting manner will be accepted for weigh-in.
  • Only one fish per entrant may be weighed in. Places are determined by fish weight and time entered.
  • The starting time for fishing is any time after 8:00 A.M.
  • You can start and end your fishing day anywhere on the St. Louis River (Stay Legal).
  • Weigh-in of all fish will take place at the Rice's Point Landing (Garfield Ave.) The Weigh-in station will open at 11:00 A.M. and will close at 5:00 P.M. Any contestants in line at this time will be allowed to register their fish.

Contest Format:

  • This is an open format. You can start fishing at 8:00 A.M. provided you have registered and have a signed release on file. Please note that you will not be able to register for participation in the tournament once the weigh in station weighs the first fish.
  • No one will be allowed to register on tournament day after they have started to fish.
  • Prizes will be awarded by the tournament judges according to place. Place will be determined by weight. In case of a tie, place will be awarded according to time registered.
  • All weigh-ins and prize decisions made by the tournament judges are final.
  • Prizes to be awarded to which place will be published before the start of the tournament.

Note: All rules have "loopholes". It is the intention of the Lincoln Park Business Group to provide an honest sportsman like tournament. In the interest of good sportsmanship, contestants are reminded that the Spirit of the Rule will prevail. All questions, judgments or problems during a tournament will be referred to the Tournament Directors. Tournament Directors will have sole authority and jurisdiction in determining the application of the Tournament Rules and Regulations.
