The "Party in the Park" will follow and features live-music by Two Many Banjos until 9:00 pm.

Sunday FunDay Competition:

This year will feature a NEW event on Sunday for cyclists that also enjoy working on bikes. The event will feature three sections and the bikes will be donated to charity afterwards.

A bike must be purchased for less than $30 and participants are allowed to only replace grips, tubes, cable and housing. All other parts must be ridden as purchased. After the event, the bikes with all parts will become property of the LPBG to be donated to local youths.

The number of participants will be limited to 25. All participants will need to pre-register. The entry fee is only $10 because the bikes will be donated to the LPBG. First place will win $40.

The competition will be broken into three sections:

  1. The first section will be an Urban Ride:
    • Start time 10:00 AM
    • Course length to be about 6-8 miles (approximately a half an hour of riding)
    • Course will be run on open public roads
    • There will be no specified course, but an out and back to a set destination
    • Racers will bring back a proof they were at the destination.
  2. The second section will be the Dirt-Trail Race:
    • Start time 11:00 AM
    • Course length to be 4-5 miles (half an hour of riding)
    • Course will start at Piedmont trail system trail head on Exhibition Drive.
    • Course will use trail 5 A and B in a clockwise direction.
  3. The third part will be a basic Trials Course:
    • Start time 12:30 PM
    • There will be 2-3 sections each done twice
    • The sections will all be within the boundaries of Lincoln Park

Scoring will be based upon a cumulative time of the Urban Ride and the Dirt-Trail Race plus a 15 second penalty for each dab in the trials event.

  • If there are 2 sections that is a maximum penalty of 5 minutes
  • If there are 3 sections that is a maximum penalty of 7.5 minutes.
